The above levels can take up to one to two years for a dancer to pass. After taking 1-3 beg. I, II & III levels the dancers then starts the level 1A. If the instructor feels the dancer is not ready to move up one whole level they may take the first two to four months of the previous level or repeat the level again (in which many cases this will be a benefit to the student) and then be moved up. This is a graded system and the dancer must be able to technically perform all the material in each level to pass. Continuing in the same form(s) of dance is how the dancer will progress. The instructor will ultimately determine where the student should be. All
dancers must purchase the proper shoes from Academy of the
